As a fully qualified trained Sailmaker, Wayne joined the team in 1990, visiting our customers across the South Coast, spreading his knowledge and expertise to help grow the Company. He has worked his way up and is now the ‘Admiral of Fleet’ driving the Company forward. Outside of the office, there will be two places you will find Wayne; at St Mary’s Stadium chanting songs in a red and white shirt or in bowling alleys across the Country, supporting his youngest son Euan. Meanwhile his eldest son, Aaron - is now a key member of our C&J Family!
Rachel is the heart of C&J Marine, there isn’t a project she hasn’t been involved with and there isn’t a job she hasn’t done! Whether she is advising the Managing Director or showing support to the staff ensuring they feel valued; she is a key member of the office and has devoted herself to the company since joining back in 1997. When Rachel isn’t at work you’ll either find her cheering on her two boys at the side of a football pitch or on Pinterest sourcing design ideas while knocking down walls to make space for her new house extension
Emma manages the Sales team and oversees the Marketing and Website developments in relation to our Products. She started working for the Company in September 2016, bringing a great amount of experience from her previous position, to motivate and develop our sales office. Outside of work you will find her spending quality time with her Family, baking cakes with her two-year-old or drinking the fine Pinot Grigios of this world!
As the Senior Sales Executive, Darren has a wealth of knowledge across all the products in our Portfolio and is practically part of the furniture, having worked for the Company since 1989. In his spare time, you’ll either find him watching The Arsenal with a bottle of Peroni in hand, or travelling to the warmer part of the world seeing the sights, having visited over 35 countries across the globe!
With an impeccable eye for detail and a passion to develop new innovative ways of manufacturing products to the highest quality, Pete has managed and developed the Production department for the last 19 years. If there is anyone that can motivate and enthuse a team member to learn and develop their skill set that is him. When he isn’t at work you’ll find him behind a computer, surviving in a virtual world or developing his garden shed into a workshop fit for a King!
Dan joined C&J Marine in 1996 and is the longest standing staff member to still be doing the same job as when he joined 20 years ago. He works alongside the Sales team to bring the visions of the customer to life. With a unique, sleek and luxurious design, Dan can create our products on virtually any yacht or power boat. In his spare time, you might catch him coaching the local youth football team or glued to the TV watching Homeland and other American dramas, but always in a pair of shorts!
Jake is one of the newest members of the Sales team, joining in June 2017. He has a keen interest in sailing and has gathered 4 years’ experience working in the Marine Industry before joining C&J. His passion for the industry has made his transition into the company seamless. When he’s not in the office, he is usually sailing in the Solent with his family, tucking into afternoon tea and cake or running around a Rugby pitch having played for Havant RFC since he was just 11 years old!
IT & Website Assistant
Aaron was recruited full time in November 2016 to oversee and support the company with IT development. He has played a key part in developing our website alongside the sales team to ensure our customer's purchasing journey is as seamless as possible. Aaron’s work doesn’t stop when he leaves C&J, he is a volunteer for the fantastic charity – The British Heart Foundation! When he isn’t busy working he enjoys video gaming or listening to some of the great Rock bands of this world including Kings of Leon.
Quality Control, Despatch & Stores Assistant
Having been a key member of the C&J Family for over 21 years, Matt has such an incredible wealth of knowledge and a key eye for detail. He completes many key duties with such passion and commitment and it is safe to say the workshop wouldn’t function as well without him. That knowledge doesn’t just stop in the workplace either – he is a key member of our Quizzing team! Matt has a great family with 4 children so his weekends are usually packed with camping trips and family walks with the dog. To relax you’ll find him with his feet up, cracking open a beer, catching up with Game of Thrones.
Jason joined the C&J team in 2015 part-time whilst in education as a workshop assistant. Having been given an opportunity to learn the different sectors of the production line he joined Dan out on the road just over a year ago, learning how to create and install canopies using our traditional industry design secrets. On the weekends Jason enjoys the odd gamble in a Casino with a JD and coke in hand, if he wins big he wants to learn to fly a plane before he retires… don’t worry Jase a few years left yet!
Jack has been an integral part of the design team from the moment he joined back in 2013. He has a huge amount of ambition and has played a key role in developing and testing our latest software with 3D photogrammetry, enabling us to sell and market our products worldwide. When Jack isn’t behind his work computer with a black coffee, his creative side goes home with him too! Jack has passion for graphic design, illustration and music, covering many genres - from Punk to Jazz.
Pauls career with C&J has spanned over 8 years covering both production and sales. He left the company for pastures new a short while ago, now having returned earlier this year, he has fitted straight back into the team as a key member of the manufacturing line. Being a fan of ITV’s – The Chase, Paul is home by 5 pm to ensure he catches Bradley Walsh with a glass of Red Wine in hand! Before he retires he plans to travel the world, visiting many places including Australia and the Caribbean with his family.
Vonnie King, Kath Treagus & Louise Bamforth
With over 27 years’ combined experience working for C&J Marine, our Machining department is without a doubt the heart of the production line. Having the knowledge and ability to take 2-dimensional cuts of canvas and creating them into luxury, quality covers and upholstery without fault - is an art that we are very lucky to have! When they aren’t found behind their machines, Kath likes to read novels or watch hit U.S television series. Louise enjoys long beach or woodland walks with her Border Terrier, Marlow and Vonnie loves watching theatrical productions; one of her favourites being the incredible, Phantom of the Opera.
