Wow, what a Summer we are having this year; perfect weather for a Cruising Chute.
Each Chute will be supplied with a bag and a handy user guide. All you need is a spinnaker halyard, a couple of spare sheets and possibly a tack line, and you're ready to go and catch those light airs!!
Am I pleased that I had a Sun Awning made last year!
My kitchen window is east facing and we have a little sun trap just outside the window that can get really hot during the day. The talented guys and girls in our workshop made the lovely awning for me from a Ferrari Soltis Mesh, to my measurements.
I installed a couple of eyebolts to the wall of the house and into the garage and conservatory and added a few shackles, a bottlescrew and some line on one corner to allow for some movement when the breeze gets up. It has been up since the middle of March and boy, has it protected the kitchen window from the heat and light! It has been an absolute god send in the current heatwave.
It’s also a great little spot to sit under in the morning for bit of al fresco breakfast.
Now couldn't be a better time to share some exciting news, eye-catching offers and some fantastic new products that are launching here at C&J. So why not brew yourself a cuppa, put your feet up and have a little read; this is something you do not want to miss out on!
We were asked to be the sole producer and supplier of the eco-friendly, self-cleaning antifouling system, and it's not often that such a simple product can reduce costs and outperform the traditional methods of antifouling paint. This product will not only help in reducing pollution around the coast, but it also improves performance and reduces fuels costs for all boat owners, racing and cruising alike.

Here at C&J Marine, we've made some interesting advances using modern technology to produce your brand new C&J products
These images show a brand new Aft Canopy fitted to a Princess V58 Motor Yacht purely using our unique 3D modelling process!
During this process, our traditional methods of taking physical templates from the boat, in order to start making the product weren’t necessary. Our design team took a series of photographs and using our software they created a 3D graphic of the boat and designed the aft canopy, allowing our customer to envisage the finished product. Once approved the design was cut, machined and finally installed by our team of professionals without any modification required. This is taking our industry by storm and with 6 years of intensive research and development, we are able to offer this service and produce fantastic results!
We’ve taken the outside in…
In a very similar process to 3D modelling the exteriors of Yachts or Power Boats, we have taken this method inside too!
Our friends at Kemp Sails recently placed an order for Upholstery and we knew this would be a perfect opportunity to show the full extent of the software, they were happy to accept!
By modelling the main saloon area and cabins of an MG C27 we were able to produce a 3D graphic of the interior. Then, using our software, the design team were able to completely model and produce the customer's interior upholstery requirements. This also gives us the opportunity to help our customers make one of the toughest decisions - colour and fabric choices!
We were able to show our customer what their new C&J Marine interior upholstery would look like before it was even produced. Needless to say, they were quite pleased with the result!
These new methods are tried and tested and are proving extremely popular. If you are interested in learning more about how our modelling method could fit with your canvas or upholstery requirements, please do not hesitate to give our experienced sales team a ring on 01243 785485. In support of the fantastic charity "The National Autistic Society", one of our many valued customers; Simon and Helen Ward are about to commence a three-month sabbatical around Great Britain. Their goal is to raise awareness about Autism and raise funds to give back to the charity that is very close to their hearts.
Simon and Helen have spent many months preparing their Moody 336 for the journey and we were lucky enough to be asked to manufacture a full set of canvas covers, including a Sprayhood, Cockpit Enclosure, Dodgers, a Pack-a-Main and much more. We have no doubt that their travels will be made a lot more comfortable with their C&J additions!
They will be visiting Marinas around England, Scotland, Wales, Southern and Northen Ireland, so to keep up to date with their progress, and to track their location on this exciting adventure, you can visit their WordPress blog at crazysails.blog!
